2015 Pinot Gris trocken Reserve, Nahe, Germany

Polished nose, nutty, spicy oak, hint of tobacco, restrained tart yellow fruit, hint of dark berries, fairly prominent mineral notes. Ripe, juicy, still totally undeveloped fruit on the palate, nutty, spicy oak, hint of tobacco, some sugar candy, persistent and quite full-bodied, lively acidity, noticeable, still slightly obtrusive carbon dioxide, buttery tarces and a hint of caramel in the background, slightly creamy, slightly astringent tannins, becomes significantly more juicy and firm with aeration, some depth, still slightly rough, touch of nut butter again on a very good finish.
