2014 Pinot Noir trocken Caroline, Nahe, Germany

Fairly firm nose, ripe, partly preserved red and black berries, nutty oak, some tobacco, cedary traces, hint of dark chocolate, dried herbs, hint of sugar candy, mineral traces. Ripe, fairly tart dark fruit on the palate, some sugar candy and dark chocolate, very light sooty oak, hint of tobacco, fine sandy tannins, persistent and quite full-bodied, herbaceous traces, noticeable salty notes in the background, light bite, integrated sandy tannins, still slightly astringent, slightly rustic style, slightly jammy fruit, spicy notes and chocolate, warm and slightly astringent on a very good finish. Shosw more freshness and bite wit h aeration.
