2011 Dorsheim Burgberg Riesling Grosses Gewächs trocken, Nahe, Germany

Firm, somewhat floral, delicately yellow-spicy and clearly mineral fragrance with light yellow-fruity aromas, a touch of herbs and tobacco and very delicate bacon nuances. Ripe, firm, juicy, tart fruit, lively, very fine acidity, handy, intensely mineral, nutty, almost a trace of yeast, dense and persistent, has power and tension, deep, quite complex, still amazingly young, floral nuances, slightly ethereal, very good, firm, distinctly mineral finish with enamel, but also enormous draught. In first-class condition and still good for several years of maturation

Editor note: Deep and tightly knitted, multi-layered scent of candied citrus and stone fruit, partly candied herbs and a hint of black berries with floral nuances and a clear, tangy minerality. Dense, tart and tremendously firm in the mouth, ripe fruit with enormous, earthy and spicy mineral notes and firm, yet very fine acidity, lasting on the palate, literally brazen structure, compact, deep and gripping, has a lot of strength and almost something dance-like, still completely undeveloped, a bit of candy in the background, looks bone dry, long, a hint of tobacco.
