2018 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Lagrein-Merlot "Lassier", Alto Adige, Italy

Clear, quite fresh nose of red and black berries with cherry aromas, a touch of herbs, pepper and hints of tar. Ripe, quite juicy dark fruit, a little coffee, dried herbs and juniper, toasty wood, present, a little drying tannins, persistent, warming alcohol, ethereal notes, very good, quite firm, tangy and again chocolatey-woody finish.
