2019 Gutedel Landwein trocken, Baden, Germany

Somewhat developed, very slightly muted, nutty, buttery and yellow-spicy aroma with restrained yellow-fruity aromas, some mushrooms, morels, hints of caramel, a little smoke and light wood. Ripe, melting, slightly warm fruit, nutty, woody and buttery flavours, again also caramel, quite distinct yellow spice, moderate acidity and grip of ripe, crumbly-sandy tannin, good substance and persistence, chalky notes in the background, delicate vegetal and mushroomy flavours, good to very good, only a little muted finish.
