2014 Barolo DOCG, Piedmont, Italy

Slightly herbaceous and spicy scent of preserved mixed berries and plums with pomegranate notes and nutty, spicy and floral aromas. Astringent, straight fruit with a certain acid bite and present tannins, nutty, undergrowth and a little tobacco notes, a hint of tar, hints of citrus fruit on the palate, some persistence, a hint of soup herbs and pepper, metallic nuances, not too deep, good to very good, tart and juicy finish.
