2017 Wachau Ried Achleiten Riesling Smaragd® trocken, Lower Austria/Niederösterreich, Austria

Herbs and dried floral notes on the nose, very ripe, partly candied fruit, nutty and light spicy aromas, mineral notes in the background. Very ripe, warm, partly candied and markedly sweet fruit on the palate, some yellow spice, ethereal herbaceous notes, fairly lively acidity, restrained, integrated tannins, hint of red berries, yeasty notes and prominent mineral notes, very good substance and depth, slightly bitter spicy notes, noticeable high alcohol on a very good, ripe, sweetish, candied, juicy finish.
