2006 Wachau Ried Hochrain Grüner Veltliner Smaragd® trocken, Lower Austria/Niederösterreich, Austria

Prominent vegetal notes on the nose, dried herbs, pomaceous fruit, delicate floral traces, hint of celery, earthy and mineral notes. Full-bodied on the palate, dry, very ripe, partly preserved fruit, fairly lively acidity, persistent, sweetish and creamy, noticeable high alcohol, delicate hint of caramel, nutty traces, currently appears a little heavy, in spite of its acidity, but is also not yet really mature yet, some depth, very good finish. Is taking much longer to develop than originally expected, and is currenty in an interim phase.
