2006 Wachau Ried Steinriegl Riesling Smaragd® trocken, Lower Austria/Niederösterreich, Austria

Fairly mature nose, ripe pomaceous fruit and some stone fruit, candied yellow fruit, slightly sweetish herbaceous notes, vegetal and mineral notes. Mature again on the palate, prominent vegetal notes, earthy traces, ripe, mature pomaceous fruit, melon, very creamy and mouthfilling, quite deep and very persistent, mineral and light herbaceous notes on a very good creamy finish.

Best to drink: Bis 2011+. What our ratings mean

Editor note: Firm nose with citrus fruit, peaches and apples, spicy vegetal and mineral notes. Elegantly juicy fruit on the palate, more spicy vegetal notes, prominent mineral notes, very elegant, harmonious acidity, persistent, medium depth, excellent balance, elegant style, good long finish.
