2023 Erden Prälat Riesling Trockenbeerenauslese, Mosel, Germany

Fest and deeper, somewhat smoky, nutty and dried-plant-like to herbal scent of partly canned, partly dried stone fruit with citrus notes, a hint of forest floor, tobacco and hinted raisins. Firm, very concentrated, candied and dried fruit with enormous, but excellently integrated sweetness, a bit of honey and blackberries, lively acidity, dense, deep and lasting, gripping on the palate, a touch of Earl Grey and Shii-Take mushrooms in the background, also a bit of excellent apricot jam, hinted surimi, distinct minerality, long, concentrated, juicy and firm finish.
