2019 Chianti Classico DOCG Riserva, Tuscany, Italy

Clear, quite fresh and deep, somewhat clove-like spicy nose of red and black berries with cherry aromas, herbs and a hint of juniper. Firmly woven, youthful and still barely developed, tart-juicy fruit with moderate toasty and clove-spicy tones, some acid bite and present, ripe tannins, juniper-ethereal notes on the palate, persistent, some depth, in the background salt, also peppery notes, floral hints and Mediterranean herbs, quite complex, very good, tight, juicy and spicy finish with a lot of grip. Needs to mature.
