Brick-coloured. Distinctly animal, somewhat nutty, vegetal to herbal and slightly peppery scent of mixed berries with nuances reminiscent of dried mushrooms, meat juice and iodine. Ripe, lean fruit with bitter-chocolatey wood spice, present acidity, dusty tannin, citrus zest and currants in the background, salty minerality, good to very good finish with a hint of ethereal spice. Very distinctive, bright, lively, acidic style that could blindly be mistaken for a partially mash-fermented white wine.
