2017 Barolo DOCG Cannubi, Piedmont, Italy

Somewhat dried floral scent of more red than black berries with notes reminiscent of leaves, tobacco and undergrowth as well as a trace of iron and iodine. Tart, with air juicier, polished fruit with nutty tones and a little cocoa, again also tobacco, smoky-roasty traces, fine sandy, youthful tannin, liquorice notes in the background, has power and slight warmth, some bite, ethereal nuances, hints of resin, salty nuances, rosehip, not eternally deep, very good, firm, tart-juicy finish with some spice.
