2019 Mittelburgenland DAC Blaufränkisch Reserve trocken Altes Weingebirge, Burgenland, Austria

Firm and deep aroma of ripe blackberries and a little cherries with moderate, toasty-sooty woody hints, a little liquorice and slightly minty-ethereal herbal nuances. Ripe, juicy, youthful dark fruit, has freshness and life, juniper and peppery tones on the palate, some acid bite, quite present, yet rather fine tannin, persistent on the palate, again minty-herbal nuances, some toastiness, distinctly salty mineral hints, restrained power, very good, tight, juicy finish, again with peppery spice, freshness and bite.
