2018 Merlot trocken "Selection", Burgenland, Austria

Quite firm, somewhat smoky, tobacco and woody scent of black berries. Ripe dark fruit in the mouth, again tobacco aromas, smoky and sooty wood notes, fine sandy, still slightly drying tannin, dried tomatoes and black olives in the background, hints of salt, some persistence, good to very good, tart finish.
