2005 trocken vinum sine nomine, Burgenland, Austria

Clearly woody and slightly smoky aroma of ripe, partly preserved dark berries and plums with dried planty aromas, some root vegetables and laurel. Powerful and quite juicy in the mouth, some toasty wood spice, herbal notes again reminiscent of laurel, fine sandy, partly drying tannin, a hint of soot, some acid bite, good persistence, peppery nuances, smoky and peppery hints, cocoa and a hint of coffee, some alcohol warmth, mineral hints, very good finish with juice, bacon, herbs and wood.
