Ornellaia
Winery Wines Files 3

2010 Bolgheri Superiore DOC Ornellaia, Tuscany, Italy

Astringent, quite complex and deep, a little bit sour, bacon, animal and earthy scent of black berries, some sour cherries and braised paprika and a trace of black olives. Powerful, dense and juicy in the mouth, very ripe, dark fruit with roasted and somewhat candied nutty wood spice, good persistence on the palate, lots of power and fat, chocolaty aromas, medium fine, slightly sandy tannin, tobacco aromas and liquorice in the background, earthy to mineral notes, lots of substance, malty traces, very good to long finish.
