2018 Lazio IGT "Ceres Anesidora I", Latium, Italy

Firm, slightly smoky and tobacco aroma of black and red berries with a little red pepper, pepper as well as floral, herbal and cedary nuances. Taut, tart, somewhat smoky fruit, nutty, somewhat bacon and toasty aromas, Mediterranean herbs in the background, good persistence, has power but also a certain polish and some coolness, coffee spice in the background, roasted nuts, salty mineral tones, very good, quite firm, tart-juicy and -spicy, yet also slightly drying finish.

Best to drink: 2023-2030+. What our ratings mean
