2020 Ungstein Nussriegel Riesling trocken, Pfalz, Germany

Firm, still slightly yeasty, also a hint of smokiness with rather light yellow-fruity aromas, very delicate petrol nuances, herbal-vegetable tones and very light minerality. Juicy, quite dry fruit, lively, fine acidity, some grip, nutty, slightly herbal, nutty and again a hint of yeasty tones, lasting on the palate, chalky-salty minerality, floral traces, some phenolic grip, very good, again quite firm, juicy finish.

Editor note: Quite cool, a touch developed, herbal and delicately yeasty citrus-stone fruit nose with hints of floral nuances. Bone-dry, bright fruit, some acidity, yeasty hints, a hint of smoke as well as dried-vegetable and hints of nutty aromas, quite present acidity, noticeable, a little sandy tannin, mushroomy nuances, good persistence, bright mineral notes, very good, tart, again slightly drying finish.

Editor note: Cool, slightly developed, clearly planty nose with light stone fruit and citrus aromas, floral and hints of petrol, hints of smoke, blanched almonds and chalky minerality. Fine, again bright, very dry fruit, planty and again chalky-mineral notes, lively acidity, still very slightly covering tannin, firm structure, some depth, mushroomy notes, very good, tart finish with bite, minerality, only also still very slightly drying tannin.
