2019 Siebeldingen Im Sonnenschein Pinot Noir, Pfalz, Germany

Slightly toasty aroma of partly preserved mixed berries with malty notes, hints of smoke, noticeable barrel wood, root vegetables and Mediterranean herbs. Ripe, again a little preserved fruit with notes of beetroot and malt, rather dark spice and smoke tones on the palate, slightly sandy tannin, some power and persistence, ethereal spice in the background, a hint of soup herbs, very good, a touch bitterish and drying finish with a hint of citrus zest.
