2007 Neusiedlersee Zweigelt Beerenauslese süß, Burgenland, Austria

Fairly shy nose, sultanas, preserved and dried berries, some dried figs and candied nuts, dark caramel. Tart sweet fruit on the palate, berries in syrup, some dried berries and dried herbs, caramel, malted notes and bitter cocoa, integrated acidity provides balance, moderate tannins, not particularly deep, elegant bitter and herbaceous notes, elegant, slightly astringent on a very good finish.
