2002 Neusiedlersee Welschriesling-Chardonnay Trockenbeerenauslese süß, Burgenland, Austria

Deep, complex nose, caramelised and dried pomaceous fruit, some honey, elderberries, tart spicy notes, wilted flowers and caramel. Fairly mature on the palate, caramel, sugar candy and some bread, restrained dried fruit, tobacco, very elegant acidity, vegetal notes in the background, tart spicy notes balance the sweetness, medium persistence and depth, old oak, good finish.
