2018 Carnuntum DAC Ried Rosenberg trocken, Lower Austria/Niederösterreich, Austria

Firm, slightly smoky and a little cedary aroma of ripe black berries and cherries with some smoky to bacony nuances. Ripe, dense and again rather tightly knit, juicy fruit, smoky-roasty wood notes, some acidity bite and present, youthful, yet relatively fine tannins, persistent and powerful on the palate, some salt, juniper nuances and a hint of clove, still undeveloped, very good, juicy and spicy finish.
