Municipality in the Côte de Nuits area, which like so many in Burgundy added the name of the best location in the 19th century. The vineyards cover around 150 hectares of chalk and clay soils. Under the Village appellation of the same name, red wines are made from Pinot Noir with small proportions of Pinot Gris and Pinot Liébault. There are the two Grand Cru sites Bonnes-Mares (13.5 ha, with a small part in Morey-Saint-Denis) and Musigny (9.3 hectares). The 24 Premiers Crus cover 60 hectares of vineyards.
