2017 Umbria IGT "San Giorgio" Rosso, Umbria, Italy

Firm, nutty, somewhat woody and meaty-animalic aroma of ripe black berries and cherries with a little floral, bitter chocolate and minty notes. Ripe, quite juicy fruit, present, still slightly drying tannin, smoky wood notes, ethereal aromas on the palate, a little mint, lots of power, good persistence, warming alcohol, animal traces, slightly bitter, good to very good, tart, firm, again alcoholic finish. Needs to mature a little more
