2021 Kalterersee/Lago di Caldaro DOC Classico Superiore "Arthur Rainer", Alto Adige, Italy

Tart, somewhat smoky, vegetal and delicately floral nose with first predominantly red berry aromas, with air more black berries as well as a hint of hibiscus and mushroomy nuances. Slender, yet relatively firm, tart fruit, some acidity, moderate tannin, almondy-nutty and very slightly tobacco notes on the palate, delicately smoky, slightly sooty bitterness, which largely gives way to the increasing juice when exposed to air, some persistence and power, some depth, salty tones, very good, tart finish with a hint of drying and grip.
