2018 Bad Kösen Saalhäuser Spätburgunder trocken, Saale-Unstrut, Germany

Very slightly muted, a little warm aroma of ripe, partly preserved red and black berries with nutty, tobacco, earthy, mushroom and vegetal notes. Tart, ripe fruit, present, ripe, fine-dusty, still very slightly drying tannins, some acid bite, earthy and tobacco notes, some peppery spice, smoky in the background, persistent, distinct minerality, has power, some toastiness, very good, firm, tart and spicy finish with grip.
