2020 Oppenheim Chardonnay VDP.Ortswein trocken Alte Reben, Rheinhessen, Germany

Tart, firm and deep, still closed, nutty and lightly vegetal fragrance with cool, clear yellow fruity aromas, smoke, fresh mushrooms and floral nuances. Brilliantly pure, cool, restrained, very bright, fine-juicy fruit, smoky, yeasty, nutty and vegetal tones, again a little mushroom, good persistence, moderate woody hints, very fine acidity and still very slightly drying tannin, clear, rather bright minerality in the background, a hint of sage, very good, firm, tangy and again slightly smoky finish. Still needs to mature.
