2019 Nierstein Hipping Riesling Grosses Gewächs trocken, Rheinhessen, Germany

Deep, finely vegetal to herbaceous, even slightly yeasty fragrance with distinctly noble yellow fruity aromas, a touch of dark fruit, mustard seed, fennel and a little bread spice. Ripe, dense, juicy, somewhat melted fruit, very fine acidity, some touch of crumbly tannin, complex spice on the palate, herbal and oil notes going in the direction of pesto, has power and substance, lasting, excellent depth, clear minerality, still undeveloped, delicately sweetish melt, very good, firm, juicy and again pesto reminiscent finish with sage and plenty of umami
