2018 Großheubach Bischofsberg trocken ***, "Rothello", Franconia/Franken, Germany

Quite firm, somewhat smoky and toasty aroma of ripe red and black berries with a hint of cherries, herbal notes, spicy hints and a hint of mushrooms. Ripe, tart, quite dense and firm fruit, again smoky to bacony wood spice, dried planty notes, fine sandy, ripe tannin, some bite, good substance and persistence, quite distinct minerality, seems relatively cool overall, somewhat deep, very good, tart and slightly spicy finish
