2020 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Terlan Sauvignon Blanc "Quarz", Alto Adige, Italy

Firm, complex and deep, quite cool, somewhat vegetal to herbal, tobacco and hints of smoky scent of yellow fruits with slightly blackberry, bacon and hints of nutty-woody aromas. Polished, ripe, firm, concentrated fruit with a noticeable acid bite, some ethereal-herbal nuances as well as a hint of blackberries, has grip of ripe tannin, excellent substance and persistence, gooseberries and pepper in the background, good depth, a hint of butter, some light wood, intense, light and dark minerality, long, animating and multilayered finish with traction.
