2004 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Sauvignon Quarz, Alto Adige, Italy

Firm nose, citrus fruit and gooseberries, notes of apple and gradd, mineral notes. Concentrated and quite full-bodied, bone-dry fruit, very elegant, quite prominent acidity, delicate whiff of oak, tart mineral notes on the palate, more grassy notes, persistent and quite complex, good depth, very well balanced, medium long finish.

Editor note: Slightly grassy nose, partly candied citrus fruit and gooseberry. Quite full-bodied, bone-dry, with ripe, elegantly juicy fruit and lively acidity, fairly creamy on the palate, delicately tart spice in the background, very well balanced in spite of the high alcohol, good finish.
