2003 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Chardonnay Rarität, Alto Adige, Italy

Firm, somewhat herbal and nutty scent of ripe citrus fruits with a hint of pome fruit, herbs, and mineral undertones. Polished, juicy, slightly creamy, ripe fruit, very fine acidity, herbal to herbaceous, nutty, subtly smoky, and distinctly mineral notes, has certain power and richness, but still retains freshness, warm and cool elements, persistent, good depth, gains in tension, very fine spice, complex, long, juicy, and very mineral finish with emphasis. In top form.
