2016 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Cabernet-Merlot Riserva "Sanct Valentin", Alto Adige, Italy

Firm, tart nose, metallic notes and iodine, light meaty notes, blackcurrants, touch of dried tomatoes and bell peppers. some tar and juniper. Ripe, juicy, partly preserved fruit on the palate, toasted, spicy oak with a hint of cocoa, some licorice, fairly concentrated and persistent, full body, good depth, mineral notes in the background,, fairly fresh style with minty and ethereal notes, fairly complex, spicy notes, quite expressive on a very good, long, juicy finish with spicy and toasted notes.
