2013 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Lagrein Sanct Valentin, Alto Adige, Italy

Light meaty and animal notes on the nose, some bacon, dried vegetal notes and some undergrowth, black berries, touch of sour cherries, chalky earthy notes. Ripe, tart, fairly restrained fruit on the palate, touch of brittle oak, dried vegetal, earthy and meaty notes, not particularly deep, full body and high alcohol, dried herbs, fairly persistent, tart and spicy, slightly brittle again on a good to very good alcoholic finish.
