2019 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Pinot Nero Riserva "Lafóa®", Alto Adige, Italy

Nutty, woody and slightly tobaccoy, a little warm aroma of red and black berries with floral and slightly ashy tones as well as a hint of mushrooms. Quite tightly knit, rather dark fruit with clear, chocolaty smoky and a little toasty wood spice, again ashy tones as well as present, slightly sandy tannins, good persistence, lots of power, earthy and peppery notes, coffee grounds and bitter chocolate in the background, a hint of pepper, very good, only slightly drying-woody, again quite warm finish with ripe juice, salt and also chocolate.
