2013 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Cabernet Sauvignon Lafóa, Alto Adige, Italy

Nose shows some development, fairly complex and deep, blackcurrants and partly roasted bell peppers, dried herbs, pepper, earthy notes and juniper. Ripe, partly preserved, even slightly jammy fruit on the palate, light acid bite, youthful, fine sandy tannins, initially slightly astringent, but increasingly integrated with aeration, prominent herbaceous notes, persistent, concentrated and full-bodied, salty traces, some peppery spice, hint of cocoa and licorice, complex, good depth, dark spicy oak, very good, long, ripe, juicy finish.
