2019 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Blauburgunder Riserva "Zeno", Alto Adige, Italy

Quite firm, a little dried vegetal and a hint of tobacco aroma of red and black berries with nutty and floral tones, a hint of aubergines and mushroomy traces. Ripe, somewhat warm fruit, smoky and slightly bitter-chocolate aromas, herbal nuances, a hint of citrus zest, crumbly-sandy tannin, some coffee grounds and dark ethereal hints in the background, slightly sweet melting, but also bitterish wood notes, very good, again warm finish with tones reminiscent of aubergines and a hint of eucalyptus.
