2019 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Sauvignon Blanc Riserva "Mervin", Alto Adige, Italy

Firm, clearly vegetal, reminiscent of capers, also slightly floral aroma with tart yellow fruity aromas, root vegetables as well as yeasty-bacony and smoky nuances. Ripe, tangy, again rather tightly knit fruit, herbal-vegetable and nutty aromas, fine grip and moderate acidity, persistent on the palate, rather mineral, smoky and nutty wood nuances in the background, dried fennel and fennel seeds, also a hint of pepper, dark berry nuances, some bacon, very good, firm, tangy, melting and spicy finish, again with lots of fennel.
