2014 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Weißburgunder Riserva "V Years", Alto Adige, Italy

Light floral, vegetal and nutty notes on the nose, stone and pomaceous fruit, hint of butter and moderate oak aromas. Ripe, warm, melting fruit with a fine bite, nutty, somewhat buttery and also vegetable to vegetable flavours, some grip, smoky nuances, good substance and persistence, chalk and salt in the background, tones reminiscent of wild mushrooms, a lot of power and a certain alcohol warmth, but also polish, a hint of caramel, very good, quite firm finish. Has developed well and still appears ageless.

Editor note: Firm and deep, somewhat warm alcohol aroma of ripe, partly dried citrus fruits, citrus zest and a little stone fruit with nutty and smoky wood spice, butter and yeasty tones. Very powerful in the mouth, tightly knit, ripe fruit, light wood, nutty and smoky aromas, fine, quite lively acidity, persistent, strong alcohol, certain depth, compact structure, sweet melting and lots of butter, certain depth, mineral hints, toasty aromas in the background, grip of ripe tannin, very good finish, only also strong in alcohol
