2006 Vinschgau DOC Sonnenberg Blauburgunder, Alto Adige, Italy

Small red berries on the nose, light vegetal and animal notes, delicate mineral notes. Slightly cooked ripe red fruit and some black fruit on the palate, smoky and spicy oak, hint of bacon, some atringent tannins, good persistence, relatively firm bite, some more light mineral notes, has some depth, still youthful, very good finish.

Best to drink: 2009-2013. What our ratings mean
