2016 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC "Soma", Alto Adige, Italy

Slightly smoky nose, predominantly black berries with some dried bell peppers and tomatoes, light spicy oak, earthy and dried herbaceous traces. Clear, straightforward, partly preserved fruit on the palate, light toasted oak and some dark chocolate notes, good persistence, hint of rosehip, noticeable warm alcohol, sooty traces, hint of bacon, slightly bitter oak on a very good, alcoholic finish.
