2016 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Cabernet Sauvignon Riserva "Freienfeld", Alto Adige, Italy

Black and blue fruity nose with restrained, nutty wood aromas and minty tones. Very ripe, warm, partly preserved dark fruit, moderately toasty wood spice, a hint of cocoa and coffee, crumbly tannin, good persistence, dried meaty traces, a hint of juniper, lots of power and noticeable, yet integrated alcohol, a little smooth style, very good, warm finish with dark juice and again a hint of mint.
