2013 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Pinot Noir Riserva Trattmann Mazon, Alto Adige, Italy

Clearly developed, warm, noticeably woody nose with red and black berry tones as well as tones reminiscent of nutshells. Very ripe, again warm fruit, lots of toasty, nutty and also some tobacco wood, sandy tannin, dried vegetal flavours in the background, a hint of morels, noticeable alcohol, good to very good finish with developed, warm fruit and again lots of bitterish wood. Already a bit past its prime.

Ripe, fairly firm, tart, juicy fruit on the palate, almonds andd nutty oak, persistent, fine sandy, youthful tannins, light acid bite, still young, salty mineral notes, spicy traces, some depth, quite firm, very good spicy, juicy finish. Very well made.
