2005 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Vernatsch Select Art "Gschleier", Alto Adige, Italy

Very polished nutty nose, ripe red and some dark berries, light vegetal and herbaceous notes, restrained oak. Ripe fruit on the palate, light nutty oak, integrated tannins, slightly noticeable warm alcohol, good substance and persistence, spicy traces, quite complex, some depth, very good finish.

Editor note: Slightly jammy, very ripe red berries on the nose, a touch of blueberries, sweetish herbs and spices and some tobacco. Quite juicy in the mouth, loads of ripe fruit, again slightly jammy, very fine tannins, delicate herbaceous notes, floral notes on the palate, prominent mineral notes, persistent, delicate oaky notes, harmonious and refreshing, good long finish.

Editor note: Slightly tart and at the same time jammy berry nose, partly preserved red berries and some blueberries. Clean and quite juicy on the palate, ripe fruit with delicate notes of chocolate, very fine tannins, creamy, very well balanced, elegant acidity, very rrefreshing, persistent, good long finish.
