2018 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Chardonnay Riserva "Stegher", Alto Adige, Italy

Somewhat dried-vegetable and slightly floral citrus pome fruit nose with nutty, hints of peppery and mineral notes. Ripe, melting fruit with nutty and dried-vegetable to slightly tobacco flavours, fitting acidity and some grip of ripe tannin, good persistence and substance, clear warming alcohol but also cooling mineral hints, floral nuances in the background, a bit of nut butter, very good, relatively firm finish that is only again relatively high in alcohol. Has developed to its advantage.
