2017 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Gries Lagrein Riserva "Prestige", Alto Adige, Italy

Firm, tart aroma of black berries with a little earthy and dried vegetal nuances. Dark, relatively tart fruit, some bite and slightly drying tannin, some warmth and almost a little sweet melting, good persistence, blueberry notes on the palate, salty hints in the background, again also dried-vegetable nuances, hints of candied nuts, not eternally deep, very good finish with dark juice. Has clearly improved, especially because it was able to put away the sooty wood well
