2015 Wachau Ried Bruck Riesling Smaragd® trocken Alte Parzellen, Lower Austria/Niederösterreich, Austria

Firm nose, still slightly muted and rather closed, prominent yeasty notes, some root vegetables, restrained yellow fruit, touch of pulses, prominent earthy and mineral notes, delicate hint of bacon. Partly preserved and candied sweetish ripe fruit on the alate,elegant, lively acidity, vegetal, herbaceous and light floral notes, herbs in the background, initially has slightly fuzzy contours, but these firm up significantly with aeration, persistent and juicy, good depth, light grip, salty mineral notes, yeasty traces, complex, candied and preserved sweetish fruit on a very good, long, juicy, minerally finish. Currently needs extensive aeration, and will mature for a long time.
