2009 Wachau Ried Bruck Riesling Smaragd® trocken, Lower Austria/Niederösterreich, Austria

Firm, fairly deep nose, citrus and stone fruit, herbaceous, waxy and floral traces, prominent mineral notes. Ripe, juicy, delicately sweetish fruit on the palate, lively, fairly firm acidity, light grip, floral and herbaceous notes, touch of red berries in the background, some yellow spice, more prominent mineral notes, noticeable high alcohol, good persistence and some depth, hint of sugar candy and some more yellow spice, more noticeable alcohol and mineral notes on a very good, juicy, sweetish finish. Has developed much better than expected, and should continue to mature for many years to come.
