Editor note: Bloody-fleshy, slightly iodiney and dried-herbal nose of ripe black and some red berries with notes of red pepper and tobacco nuances. Firmly knit, ripe, juicy, tart fruit, some acid bite and taut, ripe tannin, red pepper again, some iodine and meat on the palate, persistent, very good substance, depth and density, remains elegant and polished, cedary traces in the background, quite clear minerality, very moderate wood notes, very good, firm, tart-juicy finish. Hungary has a very old viticultural culture, as wines from Sopron and Eger were already a household name in the 13th century.
